About me
“The depiction of my experiences and dreams through abstractness, landscapes, cityscapes and impressionism aids the transference of my longings onto canvas and governs my style. The freedom of texture, colour and bold strokes usually allow me to tell a story my way”
– Reena Chopra.
“Art gives breath to our home and expresses what we love, what inspires us, and our vision of the world.”
Reena Chopra is a self-taught artist and a popular writer/ blogger. She was born in Singapore, raised in Kenya, and currently lives in India, therefore the influences for her art range from her vast exposure to different cultures, cities, dreams, and art forms as she is widely traveled.
Her style is tranquil, soulful, intense, and emotionally fractured. Her style ranges from abstract and impressionism to controlled realism and her love for colors is evident in her use of bold and colorful, uninhabited strokes.
She is a staunch supporter of Women’s Empowerment and many of her artworks depict the yearning and struggles of every girl who aspires to be someone but has met adversity of every form from society. She supports social causes with her artwork individually as well as via International platforms such as Innerwheel Club, Rotary Club, etc.
She has a varied portfolio of themes with non-conformity to any particular style but loves experimenting with different genres and mediums. Her clients love to commission her as she takes on every concept as a challenge and is able to translate their visions onto the canvas with a lot of soul.
She has sold her artworks in India, China, Kenya, Paris, the USA, England, Dubai, the Netherlands, France, Canada, and Bangladesh.
